3 Reasons to become a Licensed Contacts Count Networking Coach

1.
Networking is a critical skill for your clients.
  • Networking helps people get a job, get up to speed quickly in a new job, get more visible and known in their organization or field, get the business, get the most out of conferences and meetings, and get ahead.
  • Nearly 2/3 of white-collar job seekers find jobs through networking.
  • People with extensive digital networks are 7% more productive; but people with broad and deep face-to-face networks are 30% more productive. (Harvard Business Review)
  • Successful managers network 70% more than their less successful counterparts.  (Academy of Management Journal)
  • As people make life/job transitions (due to career changes, layoffs, divorce, retirement, etc.), they need the skills to develop new support systems and contacts.
2.  Your License gives you full access to the most strategic, useful, and nationally recognized system on the market today.
  • Based on the best-selling book Make Your Contacts Count (2nd edition, AMACOM), these strategies and tools for creating, cultivating, and capitalizing on networking opportunities are state-of-the-art and have been field-tested for 20 years by thought leaders and authors, Anne Baber and Lynne Waymon.
  • Make Your Contacts Count enjoys a 5-Star-Rating at Amazon.com. “I just loved this book. This is the first book to help you put together your networking plan.”
    • "I just lost my job . . . I implemented the points in the book, and it was amazing.”
    • “On networking tactics . . . this is as good as it gets.”
    • “Specific lively examples that build your confidence . . . an excellent resource.”
    • “Buy it! By teaching about your Character and Competence . . . your contacts will count!”
  • The American Society of Training and Development’s T & D Magazine features Baber & Waymon’s article, on “The Connected Employee” in its February 2010 issue.
3. You, personally, will be able to use these networking tools to find clients and build your practice.
  • Join the thousands of coaches, consultants, entrepreneurs, trainers, speakers, CPAs, lawyers and many other professionals who have used these business-building strategies to expand their client base.
  • Learn how to teach referral sources, prospects, friends, and family what you do and what kinds of people to send your way.  Leverage contacts in your WorkNet, OrgNet, ProNet, and LifeNet to build a thriving practice.
  • Receive one hour of orientation coaching on how to maximize your use of the materials and promote your new service.  As one user said recently, “For the first time I have an actionable concept of networking that doesn’t make me feel dirty or desperate!”
  • Test your networking expertise by taking the Networking Competency Assessment.  Call Lynne Waymon now at 301-589-8633 to receive a url that allows you to take the NCA free of charge to see how your own skills stack up, make a plan for improving your own networking expertise, and to evaluate its usefulness for your clients.

Q.  Can I take the Networking Competency Assessment before I become licensed to see how it will help my clients and how it will help me improve my networking/marketing skills?
A.

Q.
May I present workshops, keynotes, or webinars using the Contacts Count materials?
A.
Yes, if the workshops are for your own clients or pro bono, to attract clients. You might speak about the Contacts Count System, pro bono, for a Chamber of Commerce meeting, at a job club, or at a women’s club, for example.
No, if the workshops would be presented for a fee.   To present workshops, training programs, or keynotes for a fee, you must become a Certified Contacts Count Associate (See http://www.contactscount.com/certificationprogram.html for more information or call Lynne Waymon at 301-589-8633).

Q.  May I sell the book, Make Your Contacts Count, to my clients?
A.
Yes.  You may buy books in bulk at a discount from our publisher and sell or give them to clients.  Your clients also may purchase the 5-Star-Rated book through Amazon, etc.

Q.
My practice includes three coaches.  Do we pay the licensing fee once or three times?
A.
Each License is an individual License, so each of you would need to contract with Contacts Count to use the materials.

Q.
What if I uncover an opportunity for paid training or speaking?
A.
Because your License doesn’t allow you to deliver paid training or speaking, we encourage you to refer the opportunity to Contacts Count.  Q.  As a coach, I’ve been hired to work with individual employees at a large organization.  May I, as a Licensed Contacts Count Coach, use the materials to coach people within an organization?
A.
  Yes.

Q.  What are you doing to promote the Contacts Count brand, so that it’s easier for me to attract clients?
A
. Our continuing publicity for the Contacts Count brand makes it easier for you to attract clients when you advertise that you are a Licensed Contacts Count Networking Coach.  (For instance in 2009 alone, Contacts Count had 11 media interviews, published 14 articles in trade and association magazines, spoke at 47 corporate or association events, and was featured in 22 webinars.  We let our audiences know that our Licensed Coaches are listed on our website. )

A.
Give Lynne Waymon a call at 301-58-8633.
